GOVERNMENT FUNDING SCHEMES

The Hong Kong Government offers a wide range of funding programs to help companies innovate and upgrade their business. Since the establishment of HKEBA, we have helped our members to successfully apply for the funding schemes. 

As part of HKEBA's Hong Kong Funding Stream Program, we help our  members to obtain the funding below:

  • Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) - HK$600,000 (1:3 matching fund)

Background

Under the Anti-Epidemic Fund, the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) has launched the Distance Business Programme (D-Biz) to support enterprises to continue their business and services through the adoption of IT remote working solutions.

Funding Amount

  • HK$300,000 per company

  • HK$100,000 per IT solution

  • 30% initial payment upon approval

Documents Required

  1. Business Registration (BR) Certificate (business needs to be before 1 January 2020)

  2. NAR1 (for limited company) / Form 1a (unlimited company)

  3. Invoice and/or receipts with same BR name within the last 2 months

  4. Latest audit report (may be needed)

Background TVP aims to subsidise Hong Kong companies in using technological services and solutions to improve productivity, or upgrade or transform their business processes. Funding Amount - HK$600,000 per company - 1:3 matching fund - 25% initial payment upon approval Documents Required 1. BR - paid and most updated 2. NAR1 (for limited company) / Form 1a (for unlimited company) - paid and most updated 3. HKID - all shareholders with > 30% shareholding and application writer from company 4. Invoice/Receipt within 2 months with BR name - provide 5 5. Audit report (latest) - optional, but best to have 6. SME Export Marketing Fund (EMF)


Background The SME Export Marketing Fund (EMF) aims to encourage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to expand their markets outside Hong Kong by providing financial assistance to SMEs for participation in export promotion activities. Funding Amount - HK$800,000 per company - 1:1 matching fund Documents Required 1. BR - paid and most update 2. NAR1 (for limited company) / Form 1a (for unlimited company) - paid and most update 3. HKID of applicant 4. Invoice/Receipt within 2 months with BR name - have 5 5. Quotation of vendors (selected and not selected) 6. Audit report (latest) - optional, but best to have 7. Retail Technology Adoption Assistance Scheme (ReTAAS)


Background ReTAAS aims to provide funding support for retail enterprises to adopt technologies for manpower demand management purposes and help to enhance productivity. Funding Amount - HK$50,000 per company - 1:1 matching fund - Max 2 projects per company Documents Required 1. BR - paid and most update 2. NAR1 (for limited company) / Form 1a (for unlimited company) - paid and most update 3. HKID of applicant 4. Invoice/Receipt within 2 months with BR name - have 5 5. Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales Fund (BUD)


Background BUD aims to help Hong Kong non-listed companies capture the opportunities arising from the National 12th Five-Year Plan, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government set up a “Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestics Sales” (the BUD Fund) of $1 billion in June 2012, which has also been extended to ASEAN and Mainland China markets.
